A Game that I have played

21-6-13
Haunt the House

Last year I discovered this game called Haunt the House. The object of the game is you have to  scare everyone out of the house. You have to be a object to be able to scare. Each objects have different actions. Along the game the more you scare the more options of scares you have. Sometimes you scare them so much they die. Its set in an old cottage in the middle of the creepy woods. Everyones their for a party. Its quite strange but it is a good game it is not to bad to play it is the only game I play on my computer at the moment. The difficulty is easy but it gets harder to scare them along the way.

My Mums Job

My Mums Job

My Mum works for a company called ISM. ISM is a gluten free company that stocks the shelves of Mrs Rodgers and used to be Wild Appetite. At the start of her job we got five massive boxes of rice, cupcake cases, rice crackers, gourmet sauces and herbs/spices. I really like it because we get free food. Mum goes around to all the supermarkets in Tauranga and every fortnight she goes to Whakatane and fills the shelves there. She has done really well and gotten heaps of new items on the shelves.  Im proud of my Mum because she has done really well and she is friendly to all her buyers.

An Argument With My Sister

An Argument With My Sister

"Can I use your pencils," Haylee asked in a sweet voice.
"No," I said "you have your own now go away."
Haylee grabs the pencils and runs out of my room.
"HAYLEE!!!" I yell as loud as I can, "give me back my pencils."
It was too late. Dad walks in.
"Whats going on?" He said
"Haylee stole my pencils," I said, "and she has her own she can use"
"But mine aren't as good as yours," said Haylee
I said "They're the exact same."
I stomped into my sisters room grabbed her pencil case tipped it out. I was picking all the same pencils as mine out and put them beside me. Haylee walked in,
"YOU MESSED UP MY ROOM!" she yelled with tears running down her face.
"It was already a mess," I said in a snappy attitude.
Dad came in.
I gave him her pencils and said "These are the exact same as mine."
He gave me mine and gave her, hers and thats that.

I will

Anytime and anywhere I will always be there.
If it rains or if it snows.
I will helps you be afloat
If the seas are really ruff,
and you need to catch a bus
I will pay your fee for you
even if you have the flu.
Many days pass on by
and you need to buy some kai.
Ill give you a hand and buy you a rubber band.
If you catch a butterfly
surely you will be alright.
Anytime and anywhere I will always be there

My Weekend

In the Weekend, I stayed home most of the weekend on Saturday I tided my room in fact its already messy. Then I went out to Mitre Ten Mega and Spotlight at Gate Pa. At Spotlight I got some fluro card for my Science Fair. We went to Mitre Ten Mega as well to get some black paint also for Science Fair. When I got home we just lied around. Mum & my sister Haylee went out for tea so I was looking after my Dad who has a cold. Luckily I have great friends who I rang to cheer me up.

On Sunday, I had production practice in the School Hall. This year the production is called a most triumphant tale. Based on two characters Phil & Ed who are trying to re-write music history. I am in the choruses I am singing six songs. It is going to be a lot of fun.

Charging Laptops At School.

What are the negatives of Rimu students charging their laptops at school?
  • Its costing the school to much so we cant get things like Gyms, Discos etc.
  • You could trip over everyones cords that are all over the floor.
  • We could buy better recourses instead
What are two of the suggestions for solving the problem?
  • Use your red-bulls as tickets for chances to use your charger.
  • Have a station with 3 chargers and you have to take turns.
What is your opinion about Rimu students charging their laptops at school?
My opinion is that some people need to take responsibility at home for charging their laptops. They should have a stickie on their laptops saying they need to charge their laptop. That could work but they need to take responsibility.

Task: P5. Compete in a sport for an entire season

Volleyball

In Term 1 & the start of Term 2 I decided to do Volleyball for the season. I enjoy Volleyball because its not a hard sport and it doesn't require a high level of fitness. Its really easy to play and you don't need allot of people. Theirs 4 in one team in my team there was Jessica, Nicole, Kate, Renee and I. I decided our group name we  were called the T.I.S teddy bears. I chose that name because it rhymes and it was cute. If you have more than 5 (like our team) you rotate in a clockwise rotation on and off the court. The person in the top corner would

We didn't do very well because we were there to have a good time. There were allot of jokes on and off court. We lost all of our games except the very last one. The last few we were determined to win. We were cheering each other on giving tips to one an other. At home in our spare time we would practice as much as we could. Even though we didn't win every game we had an awesome time playing Volleyball.

Daily Blog Post

On Saturday morning I woke up extraordinarily excited because we were going to do the 40 Hour Famine (no technology) at Kate's house. After I woke up I got dressed and happily went and made vanilla cupcakes. I felt almost professional until mum came in and started criticizing me. I was irritated "what did you do with it, why does it have lumps in it, did you mix it properly" said mum. I put them in the oven and they looked  exquisite. I had just finished and Paris knocked at the door to pick me up I snatched my bags and away we went I was so excited. We raced out the door, when we were driving up Kate's driveway and I saw horses tied to the quad-bike. I started telling Paris their names. I was worried that I wasn't going to remember how to ride a horse. When we got out of the car I was still nervous but Kate's mum Sophie helped me and guided me and I was fine.

Homework Challenge

Homework Challenge

G1. Give to children in need: Participate in the 20 Hour famine.
Raise a  minimum of $40.00

40 Hour Famine.

On Friday we organised to go to Kate's house to do the 40 Hour Famine No Technology. We decided only to do twenty hours other wise we would have to stay two nights. The 40 Hour Famine is a Famine for children in need. This year the funds went to Papua New Guinea just off the top of Australia. Anyway, I woke up on Saturday morning very excited I got ready packed my bags had breakfast. Then mum reminded me to bring something to Kate's. So I decided to make vanilla cupcakes that we could ice for something to do it was quite a challenge and mum and I thought they wouldn't come out very good but they looked and smelt perfect. Paris and I organised for her to pick me up at twelve o'clock. I just finishes putting the cupcakes on a plate and their was a knock at the door. It was Paris so off we went up the road to Kate's house.

When we pulled in the drive Kate's horses were all tied to their quad. There was Sammy, Breeze and Fox. We got our stuff out of the car and put it in her living room where we were going to sleep that night. At that moment I forgot that I was supposed to bring mattresses also I forgot my sleeping bag so I wasn't quite sure what was going to happen until Kate said just use a recliner so we dragged a recliner out from the living room and I had to borrow Kates blanket but we were warm anyway. After that we went back outside and patted the horses. Then Kate's mum said for us to go inside and cook American hotdogs for lunch. I was in charge of cooking them and I could only see the top ones they looked perfect but when we took the rest out they had completely split in half so I was disappointed in myself but they were fine.

After we had lunch we went outside and put riding shoes on then we saddled the horses up. I rode Fox down to the arena she was being really naughty all the way down. We got to the bottom and we walked our horses around the arena. Paris was running around with Billy and I was walking Fox and she was being a real hassle and hard to handle so I swapped for Kate's horse Sammy. For the rest of the afternoon we jumped jumps Paris fell of Breeze when he broke into a canter. We trotted here and there but we got bored and decided to go back to the house I went on the back of the quad-bike while the others rode. Once we got back we brushed and covered the horses ready for the night. After that we put them back in their paddocks feed them and gave them water. Meanwhile Gizmo Kate's dog was trying to eat the horse poo so Paris and I were guarding it. It was really funny. Just as we were finishing up it started to rain. We were just in the nick of time. As soon as we got inside it absolutely pored down. So we sat inside we played The Game of Life. I came last then we had pizza for tea.

After tea we made instant pudding iced the cupcakes and talked. All night we talked Kate's mum told us to shut up a few times then she came out and we decided to go to bed all night we slept off and on there was snoring, sleep-talking, sleep stretching all sorts. We woke up in the morning and played The Game of Life again I came second that time so I was pretty proud of myself. As soon as the twenty hours were up we turned on the TV we watched Modern Family and The Big Bang Theory. That finished and we heard my mum and dad coming up the driveway. They decided to stay for a coffee so we took heaps of pictures of ourself's. Once we finished that we were on our way home after having so much fun doing the 40 (20) Hour Famine.

I wonder why?

Why is the sky blue?

The shorter wavelength light is absorbed by the gas molecules. The absorbed blue light is then radiated in different directions. It gets scattered all around the sky. Whatever direction you look, some of the scattered blue light reaches you. Since you see the blue light from everywhere overhead, the sky looks blue. So the sky is not really blue its an illusion.

I wonder why?

Why is the sea blue?

There is two explanations to the answer. The first answer is that the sky reflects onto the water making it look blue. That also explains why the sea goes gray on a rainy day. In america the water is green because a lot of algae and plant life grows. The second explanation is that masses of water is blue. I know it sounds strange but thats the color water. So the true explanation is basically water is ment to be blue.

Cemetery on 17th Avenue

Friday afternoon room 42 and I went to the Cemetery on 17th Avenue for our statistics lesson. We went in pairs I decided to join up with Paris. We had to have a question, our question was how many gravestones have flowers on them we counted a total of 200.  My favorite gravestone was a book It was black and gold. We estimated the cost of it would be $10,000. It was awesome, the sad thing about it was that a lady came over and was playing with her three dogs she was throwing a tennis ball that almost chipped the top of some of the gravestones. The worst part is she let her dogs go and pee on any gravestone they wanted, I found that very heartbreaking. Most of the gravestones would probably cost an estimated $5,000. When we left the cemetery we had to wash our hands to leave the tapu behind and become noa.
