How to be me in the morning

How to be me in the morning!

If Dad walks in and opens the curtains lie in bed and pretend your asleep. If he takes of the covers or treats you like a baby pretend he woke you up and start to groan. He'll walk out of the room, lie in bed for a good ten minutes. If he starts to yell at you slowly start getting ready. Firstly sit up in bed and brush your hair and do your hair. Tip: try and keep your legs under the covers. Then crawl out of bed (literally) slowly get your uniform on in this order shorts, skirt and t-shirt. Then walk down the hallway and go into the kitchen. Ask dad "Have you rang Luke". He will say in reply "yes" Then go into the pantry and get coco pops the milk is in the fridge in the right door..... (there is more but thats enough for now)

Brian the bear

Brian the bear

On the top of Mount Moniginig their lives me a bear named Brian. I would describe myself as a humble bear but I hates it when the bikers come near everyday I hears the sound of bikers riding along. Sometimes they scare me away, today wasn't like any other average day. I saw a bear salutary truck drive down the gravel right in front of my eyes.A man jumped out I could just see the glint of his name badge saying Gruesome Gabe. In fright I hid behind a black berry bush it pricked me a bit but I didn't care he opened his back door and brought out a net and a spit ball gun. I didn't think it was a ordinary spit ball gun it had poison spit balls. Gabe looked my way I crouched lower into the bushes. He walked towards me........

Heart Rate

What is heart rate?
Heart rate in the number of heartbeats per quantity of time.

What is the normal heart rate for someone 12 years old?

How can you measure your heart rate?
Firstly place two fingers lightly on the side of your neck to feel your pulse. Medline Plus recommends counting your heart beat for 30 seconds and multiplying by 2.

When you exercise your heart rate your heart rate should go up 80% of your heart rate.

My visit to room 43

Yesterday the satellite class from Kaka Street Special School moved in to their temporary classroom right next to ours their classroom burnt down in a fire from a electrical fault in a fan. So we decided to go meet them we went in groups of five. Their are eight of them the names that I can remember are Sam, Bobby, Phoenix, Emma, Devon, Bishop and Kyra. Bobby was our tour guide for the time we were there he told us that he was happy to be back at Tauranga Intermediate. He showed us round all the rooms there was his room and the main room and another classroom on the end for the others. He showed us the teachers and told us their names. It was really cool.

Daily Blog Post

Unfortunately this weekend we were supposed to be going to Auckland or Opotiki but we didn't because we are trying to save money and my dad was on call all weekend. So that was a bummer.
Surprisingly my Auntie Jo came over and gave me a whole bag of my cousins old clothes their was quite a few pieces that I liked and some where quite new that were to small for her.
You'll find it hard to believe but I made an apple crumble but my family and visitors loved.
To tell the truth I didn't like the apple crumble as much as I thought I would have but I loved the cookies and cream ice cream. Even though in my weekend I didn't do much I had a great weekend hanging out with my family.

The Quagga Extinction

Quagga Photo
The Quagga is a southern sub species of the Plains Zebra. Its different to your normal Zebra they had stripes from their forehead to their neck. Their lower half is a browny beige color and they have white legs. The Quagga became extinct because it was ruthlessly hunted down for its meat and to be made into leather by South African farmers. The last Quagga died on 12th of August 1883 in the Amsterdam Zoo.

My New Budgie

About a month ago I had a pet budgie named Miley. Miley was a humble budgie sitting on her swing all the time, talking to her sister but the other day it was a normal day I was going to my friends birthday for a sleepover we had a blast anyway, when I came home mum and dad had to share some news. Miley had died I was so upset. We had her in a plastic bag in the laundry for a few days. Later on that weekend Anna came over and we went to Mitre Ten Mega and got some daffodil bulbs and had a burial.

A few days passed I googled what gender of budgie should I put in with a three year old budgie. It came up with male because if you but a female with another female in the cage they would just fight. So we looked online to see where in Tauranga would they sell three year old budgies.
Well I was on trade me and I found a guy named Grant in Gloucester Road just near Bay Fair who sells budgies. So mum drove me over to find  a budgie, he had a whole variety blue ones, green ones, yellow ones budgies galore everywhere I looked and looked till I found one he was perfect he had gray wings with a blue chest and beady eyes.

We payed our money and took him home. We were all sitting in the car in silence thinking of a name for him. Nothing we went home and google searched heaps all of the budgie named we could ever think of a few names were suggested but none that I liked. I thought for a bit then I thought of the name Cloud. It was perfect he looked exactly like one. We introduced Cloud to his new sister. He wasn't used to a small cadge at first but hes gotten used to it.

Keep posted for some more information on how cloud is coping.

Science Experiment

Coke eruption

In year four at Greenpark School we had a science day. My favorite activity that we did was diet coke volcanos. To do this we had to get a bottle of diet coke and a packet of mentos we used three mentos but you can use as many as you like we dropped them into the coke. We counted down 3, 2, 1 and the coke shot up in the sky. This is cause by small outlets all over the mentos, they release carbon dioxide (
CO2). The gas from the soda reacts to the carbon dioxide which creates foam.

Ngamuhine Outdoor Education Lodge Camp 2013

Last week the Yr8's of Rimu House went to camp for a week these are some sentences explaining how my week went

I'm proud that I had got to the top of the Vertical Play Pen. The Vertical Play Pen is a challenge to complete that challenge you have to first climb a wriggly post with pegs in the side, after that you have to get on a post that is horizontal above the horizontal post there is three tires in the order of one at the bottom and two at the top. Then their is another horizontal post above that is a rope, above that is two tires one on top of the other one is facing vertical and the other is horizontal once you have climbed to the top of all of those you sit on the horizontal tyre and put to hands on your harness rope then you go down one side of the obstacles so you dont get your rope tangled in the course.

Believe it or not but I didn't scream on the burma trail. I may have frozen in fright but I did not scream. I mean it wasn't even scary. There where a few "boo's" here and there and the sound of a chainsaw but it wasn't even scary enough. I think they should have downloaded pig noises or something it would have been way better. Oh well I wasn't the one who planned it out.

It made me laugh when we were up at paintball Mr Hart received a call over the radio "Snoop Dog to Big Dog how are you going up there". It was Mr Smith just checking how we were going with paintball. As soon as I heard that I was in hysterics. It was hilarious.
