Present a speech in front of house hui.

At the start of term 1, we were given the opportunity to write a speech and present it in front of the rimu house hui explaining why I wanted to be house leader. I spent hours writing down ideas and crossing some out but out of all that I created a fantastic speech to read in front of my fellow students.
Sadly I didn't get the role but it was worth the try. I don't know how well I had done but I hope it wasn't to bad.

Below is my speech for you to read:

Hello students and teachers, my name is Aimee and I am here to talk to you about becoming your house leader, you see I would be a good leader for the following reasons. I treat others equally rather than individually. I follow the stars which means........ I will always make sure others and myself are safe, I work as a team making sure everyone is included in the working, I help people achieve there goals at a high standard, and I respect others and their belongings. Finally “S” for sense of humour which I am known for.

For me leadership also means to be proactive and take responsibility and prioritising and do the most important things first, it also means having a everyone can win attitude.

As a leader I will provide service and you can always have faith in me . I am enthusiastic and thoughtful. I do the best I can in all areas of my schooling.

Just like red ants I work as a team and form a team by bringing people or ants together. Ants trouts one another and are open to share their ideas to find out what they are looking for. I will bring help and make a task our project not mine. I will present ideas if the present one is not working. So please let me have the opportunity for being a leader of the rimu red ant colony.
