Coke eruption

In year four at Greenpark School we had a science day. My favorite activity that we did was diet coke volcanos. To do this we had to get a bottle of diet coke and a packet of mentos we used three mentos but you can use as many as you like we dropped them into the coke. We counted down 3, 2, 1 and the coke shot up in the sky. This is cause by small outlets all over the mentos, they release carbon dioxide (CO₂). The gas from the soda reacts to the carbon dioxide which creates foam.
